Summer Party Up-date

This years summer party date is set for August 15th. Due to popular demand, we will be offering the hugely successful menu of last year again.

Chowder and clam cakes
Hamburgers
Hot dogs
Sweet Corn
Salad
Potato Salad
Chips
soda, coffee and tea

Due to the cost and the amount of time the committee must contribute to offer these parties, we must have a minimum of 60 residents signed up and paid (which will be reimbursed if you show up) not later than the close of business day on, August 11th.

The activities has worked long and hard to offer fun events over the past 2 years, and have become discouraged to notice that if you didn't count the committee, the board members and their spouses, there were very very few residents taking part in the activities. It takes up several hours of our time to prepare, serve and clean up for these activities, sadly, if the resident's don't start to show an interest, the committee will cease offering events.

4 Sweet Corn

5 Kelloggs Apple Cinnamon Nutri Grain Bars
6 Kelloggs Wild Animal Crunch Cereal (.85oz)

In addition to the Family pack you may purchase any of the following special offers

2 &1/2lbs of Sweet & Spicy BBQ ribs
6 8 oz Serloin Strip Steaks

Convenience Package which contains individual frozen meals of:

Manicotti with Marinare Sauce
Salisbury Steak with Mac and Cheese and Broccoli
Grilled Chicken with Tomato Basil Sauce and Penne Pasta
Sausage with green and red peppers
Chicken Teriyaki Stir-fry with rice and mixed veggies
Turkey Breast with mashed potato, mixed veggies and gravy

Orders must be paid in advance by August 5th

Maplehill's 18th year as a Serve New England Site

Serve is a great program to help you bridge the ever increasing costs of your food bills, for simply doing 2 hours of none paid serve for someone or some group.

Each month a family pack is offered that includes up to 4 meat items and is accompanied by fruits and veggies.

In addition there are always several meat specials to choose from. During the summer months you can even get 6, 8oz. New York Strip Steaks for $20.00.

We will post a listing of the up coming packages and the sign-up/pickup dates each month, so please come back often.

The location of the signup/pickup is our recreational hall, at 61 Hillside Drive, Mapleville,
Rhode Island. When you come in the first time, please mention that you saw it on our blog.

Our summer party plans will be discussed during the Activities Meeting, Thursday, July 23rd, 2009.

As always the party will be held in August, Saturday, on the 15th A re-reimbursable fee of $10.00 per family.

A few reminders

Tomorrow is the park wide yard sale. Looks like we are going to have good weather. Don't forget to come down to the recreational hall and support the fund raiser yard sale also.

While traveling throughout the park, please remember to maintain the speed limit.

The annual lot inspections are scheduled to begin soon. You will receive a 24 hour notice prior to your lot being done. Please make sure your pets are secured.

The summer party will coming up in August, tickets will be available in July. Don't miss out on the fun and the best chowder and clam cakes of the summer. Last years hit menu is being brought back by popular demand.

Enjoy your summer and remember the children will soon be out of school, so please drive safely.

Nominations

Important Notice for everyone nominated for office

As per the By-laws: you only have 7 days to accept the nomination, for your name to be placed on the ballot. (Article xi, section 1)

The cut off date is February 23rd, 2009, not later than 8:00pm. Your acceptance must be in writing and given to the committee chairperson, Lisa.

Elections

Residents are reminded that elections will be held in March. It is important for you to take the time to come down and cast your ballot. Elections are you're way of assuring that our development is over seen by fellow residents of your choice.

Please remember that your fees must be up to date in order for you to cast a ballot.

Looking forward to seeing you all. Voting is open March 21st, 2009, from 9:00 am till 7:00pm. The counting of the ballots will follow and all are invited to attend the count
